JM & Associates operates at the intersection of clinical nursing and litigation. I bring hands-on experience in critical care and emergency nursing together with focused expertise in nursing home and long-term care liability analysis.

My work centers on translating complex medical records into clear, clinically grounded insights that attorneys can use. I evaluate standards of care, identify deviations, assess causation, and clarify liability exposure so cases can be evaluated and developed with greater precision.

I work independently, which allows for consistent quality, direct communication, and careful attention to each file. Whether the records are limited or extensive, the goal remains the same: provide accurate, practical analysis that supports sound case strategy.

FOUNDER

Joanna Snodgress, BSN, RN, is the founder of JM & Associates Legal Nursing Consultants. She began her nursing career at 18 and spent a decade at the bedside, primarily in critical care and emergency departments, including years as a travel nurse across the United States.

Drawing on that clinical foundation, she transitioned into legal nurse consulting and has since analyzed more than 1,000 cases. Her practice focuses on nursing home and long-term care liability, where she evaluates complex medical records for standards of care, causation, and liability exposure.

Joanna works independently, providing attorneys with clear, clinically grounded analysis that supports effective case evaluation and strategy.

Associate Consulting

While I handle the majority of case work personally, I occasionally collaborate with experienced nurse associates on select projects. This allows for additional capacity on larger or time-sensitive matters while maintaining consistent quality and clinical standards.

All work is reviewed and overseen by me to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the analytical approach attorneys expect from JM & Associates.
